{"id":401,"date":"2021-03-09T20:33:58","date_gmt":"2021-03-09T19:33:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.arabic-philosophy.com\/?page_id=401"},"modified":"2024-05-28T14:54:33","modified_gmt":"2024-05-28T12:54:33","slug":"asg-past","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.arabic-philosophy.com\/index.php\/asg-past\/","title":{"rendered":"Past Avicenna Study Group Meetings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66%\">\n<p>So far, the Avicenna Study Group met twice: once in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arabic-philosophy.com\/index.php\/asg-past\/asg-i\/\">2001<\/a> at Yale University in New Haven (as the \u201cFirst Graduate Student Conference on Ibn S\u012bn\u0101\u201d) and then <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arabic-philosophy.com\/index.php\/asg-past\/asg-ii\/\">2002<\/a> at the University of Mainz during the <a href=\"http:\/\/davo1.de\/tagungen\/Wocmes\/pages\/1generalinfof.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">World Congress for Middle Eastern Studies<\/a>. Now, with the Third International Meeting taking place in Trier, the initiative returns \u2013 even if only virtually \u2013 to Rhineland-Palatinate, the state in Germany of which Mainz is the capital.
